[Well, this is technically filmed in Lexington, but it's only 1/2 hour from here.] Parts of Beowulf: Prince of the Geats were filmed in the summer of 2006 at the Virginia Military Institute and the Theater at Lime Kiln. There is a medieval catapult (called a "trebuchet") at VMI that has been used in may documentaries and films. It was just what the crew of Beowulf needed for their scene. The movie is a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. The website for the movie is www.princeofthegeats.com/
